ENGLISH → GERMAN · A1 PILOT
Give your German
a little structure.
Choose a language level, then build from small groups of grammar points, each paired with relevant vocabulary. Understand a pattern before practising it in sentences and returning to it through review.
HOW A GRAMMAR BLOCK WORKS
Understand the structure. Add the words. Put it to use.
Grammar and vocabulary belong together. The first block connects ich and du to their verb forms, then uses a small “People & names” word group to practise statements and questions. You can then use these patterns to introduce yourself.
Start with related grammar points.
Read one explanation at a time. Notice why ich heiße and du heißt use different forms, and how a name question puts its words together.
Learn the vocabulary for those patterns.
Keep words in a useful group: the people involved, the verb, and the short expressions you will use with it. Each word comes with a meaning and an example sentence.
Apply the idea in context.
Use the pattern in a sentence or short exchange. Try both choosing an answer and producing one yourself; recognizing a form is different from recalling it.
Remember it again after a break.
Return for short reviews after the lesson. Your answers help us schedule the next review, so you can keep practising without restarting the block.
LEVEL → GRAMMAR BLOCKS → RELATED VOCABULARY
German grammar by level.
Levels organize the learning material. Completing a grammar block does not establish a full CEFR level. The current A1 material is an introductory slice; later levels are planned.
