1. Alphabet and pronunciation reference
Start with complete written words and the alphabet reference. Learn consonant classes, vowel length and syllable endings together; a tone mark alone does not tell you the tone. Use IPA as a reading aid, then practise listening with Thai speakers.
2. Understand, practise, remember
Build short everyday sentences with a few familiar words. Thai verbs do not change for the person or tense; compare time words and aspect markers in context. Learn pronouns and polite particles with their social setting, rather than attaching one particle to every sentence.
3. Build a routine you can keep
Review before adding too much new material. Recall a word meaning, then type the word without looking. Use grammar help after a mistake and test the same skill with a different example. The written placement check helps choose a starting point; it cannot assess your tones or conversation.
4. Keep learning
Add conversations, listening and longer Thai texts outside the app. Later blocks compare sentence focus, implication and formal register. A1–C2 labels organize the grammar path; completing grammar exercises does not certify spoken proficiency.

ฉันเรียนภาษาไทยI’m learning Thai.
The verb เรียน stays the same. Context gives the time, and ภาษาไทย names the language. Thai does not change the verb to match the person.
